A 38-year-old Pollock Man Faces A Felony Charge And Six Misdemeanors After An Incident Near Riggins

RIGGINS - On December 30, 2025, at approximately 7:40 PM, Idaho County Dispatch received a report of an accident on Highway 95 near milepost 192, south of Riggins, Idaho. It was reported the driver was possibly intoxicated and had physically attacked multiple people on scene and then fled the scene of the accident heading north towards Riggins.

Idaho County deputies responded to investigate the incident and spoke to all parties involved. Benjamin Brault, age 38, of Pollock, was arrested for felony aggravated battery and cited for misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor leaving the scene of accident, misdemeanor battery, misdemeanor driving under the influence and misdemeanor disturbing the peace.

The charges listed are allegations at the time of arrest. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
