WHITE BIRD - During an Office of Highway Safety emphasis patrol on December 31, 2025, at approximately 8:40 PM, an Idaho County Deputy noticed a vehicle parked in the parking lot at Blackhawk Bar recreational area, off of Highway 95, south of White Bird. The driver of the vehicle, a red sedan, rolled down his window and called out to the deputy, saying they were coming from Colorado.
While he was speaking with the male driver and female passenger, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a search was performed. During the search, methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia were located.
David Leachman, age 59, of Troy, Idaho, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, and misdemeanor driving without privileges.
Paige Kelly, age 23, of Huntington, West Virginia, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
The charges listed are allegations at the time of arrest. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
